Koryx Copper Inc. Unveils Exciting New Mineral Resource Estimate for Haib Copper Project in Namibia

Published by Africazine

Exciting developments are afoot in the mining sector as Koryx Copper Inc. announces the public filing of its technical report detailing a significant update to its mineral resource estimate for the promising Haib Copper Project located in Namibia. Titled “NI 43-101 Technical Report – August 2024 Mineral Resource Estimate for the Haib Copper Project,” the report is effective as of August 31, 2024, and was officially filed on October 23, 2024. This comprehensive report was meticulously prepared by The MSA Group Pty. Ltd. and features contributions from industry experts Jeremy C. Witley and Damian E.G. Connelly.

This updated mineral resource estimate, originally highlighted in Koryx Copper’s September 10, 2024 announcement, is now accessible under the company’s profile on SEDAR+, allowing investors and stakeholders to gain valuable insights into the project’s potential.

Expert Validation and Oversight

The technical aspects of this report have been rigorously reviewed by Jeremy C. Witley, who is recognized as a “qualified person” as per National Instrument 43-101 standards. This review ensures that investors can be confident in the integrity of the findings, as Witley operates independently of Koryx Copper and the Haib project.

Haib Copper Project: A Gem in Southern Africa

Koryx Copper is rapidly establishing itself as a key player in the copper development arena with its 100% ownership of the Haib project. Situated in southern Namibia, this expansive copper/molybdenum porphyry deposit boasts a rich history of exploration and development conducted by leading firms such as Falconbridge, Rio Tinto, and Teck. This makes Haib an exceptional find, as it’s one of only two known Paleoproterozoic porphyry copper deposits in southern Africa. The mineralization at Haib is predominantly chalcopyrite, a copper-iron sulfide mineral, alongside minor occurrences of bornite and chalcocite.

With more than 70,000 meters drilled since the 1970s and a suite of studies—including metallurgical testing and geological mapping—Haib has substantial data backing its potential. Teck continues to be a strategic and supportive shareholder, which underscores healthy investor confidence in the project’s future.

Conclusion: A Bright Future Ahead

As Koryx Copper continues to advance the Haib project in Namibia, the updated mineral resource estimate signals not just a promising future for the company but also a potential boost for the Namibian mining sector. The company’s commitment to responsible development and rigorous exploration practices lays a solid foundation for long-term sustainability.

In summary, Koryx Copper Inc. is poised to make waves in the global copper market, aligning with an increased demand for this essential resource while contributing to economic growth in Namibia.
