Exciting Insights: Equites Unveils Interim Results for the First Half of 2024!

Equites Property Fund Delivers Impressive Interim Results for August 2024

In the wonderful world of real estate investment, Equites Property Fund Limited has just rolled out its Interim Results for the six months ending August 31, 2024. The report indicates a thriving performance, and CEO Andrea Taverna-Turisan couldn’t be more proud. With 65 income-producing properties spanning across South Africa and the United Kingdom, the Fund is witnessing robust growth driven by impressive net property income gains, historically low vacancy rates, and enhanced property valuations.

Equites’ journey over the recent months showcases several key highlights that have stakeholders buzzing with excitement. The company has maintained a Distribution Per Share (DPS) of 66.50 cents, in line with its full-year guidance of between 130 and 135 cents. Furthermore, the distribution pay-out ratio remains a steady 100%, illustrating a strong commitment to returning value to shareholders.

One significant aspect of their results is the notable 2.2% increase in property valuations for their South African portfolio on a like-for-like basis, paired with an impressively low portfolio vacancy rate of just 0.6%. This low vacancy rate is vital as it reflects the demand and desirability of the properties Equites manages.

Moreover, the company has made strategic disposals worth R0.6 billion, while also investing R0.9 billion into development initiatives. Their current loan-to-value ratio stands at a healthy 41.0%, complemented by a substantial pool of R2.2 billion in cash and unutilized facilities. It’s rewarding to note that the Fund has also achieved its first “Edge net-zero” carbon certification, illustrating its commitment to sustainability in real estate.

Taverna-Turisan attributes these accomplishments to the relentless dedication and collaboration of the Equites team, stakeholders, and partners. “These outstanding achievements are a testament to what can be accomplished with determination and teamwork,” he remarked enthusiastically.

As Equites looks towards the future, it’s clear that their combined efforts and innovative strategies are setting the stage for continued growth and success in the property sector. Stakeholders and investors will undoubtedly be keeping a close watch as Equites navigates the dynamic landscape of real estate investment.

Stay tuned for more updates from Equites, as the journey is just beginning!
