Kudus Mohammed expresses readiness for 2023 AFCON

Ghanaian football sensation Kudus Mohammed has expressed his readiness for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to commence this weekend in Cote D’Ivoire.

The 23-year-old, a key player for West Ham United, was initially at risk of missing the tournament due to a hamstring injury.

However, he has been gradually recovering and joined the national team, the Black Stars, for their training sessions after departing Ghana for Ivory Coast last Wednesday.

Kudus Mohammed, who previously played for Ajax, is eager to participate in his second AFCON and is looking forward to the tournament.

During a photo shoot with CAF, he expressed his happiness to be part of the team and conveyed his excitement for the competition.

“Hi Ghanaian fans, I’m happy to be here. And I can’t wait for the tournament to start. Let’s go Ghana,” Kudus said during a photo shoot with CAF.

The Black Stars, placed in Group B, will face tough competition from Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.

Ghana’s campaign in the AFCON will kick off with a match against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The fans are anticipating a strong performance from Kudus Mohammed and the entire Black Stars squad as they aim for success in the tournament.
