At the event at the Omaye Hall at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly on Friday, January 5, 2024.

The website, Ghanasupporters.com, embodies what the group stands for when it comes to supporting the national teams.

The colourful event also included the outdooring and launching of their social media handles in addition to the official website.

The event which started at 10 am was graced by sponsors Rice Express and representatives of the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central Constituency Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah.

Speaking to sienutvsports.com at the launch, Ag. President Issaka Polo outlined the significance of coming together under a single body as supporters and eschewing the days of segregation.

“It makes us strong,” he said.

“Coming together shows that we have the common interest of the nation and not personal interests.

“Now we have about 98% of all the supporters’ groups in the country under this union,” he added.

“We are hopeful that the Black Stars will surprise Ghanaians and so we are going to Ivory Coast in our numbers to support the team and every one of our members will be there,” he concluded.

The supporters are expected to leave Ghana by Friday, January 12, 2023, for Ivory Coast to support the Black Stars.

The Black Stars will depart Ghana for Ivory Coast on Wednesday, January 10 and play their first game on January 14, 2023.
