Fly to Zambezi in a jiffy

FlyNamibia announced significant enhancements to its flight operations to optimise connectivity and stimulate tourism in the Zambezi region: Effective 3 July, FlyNamibia Katima Mulilo flights will transition from Eros Airport to Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA), facilitating improved access to key destinations.
In conjunction with this shift, FlyNamibia is introducing an innovative flight-routing system designed to enhance connectivity between HKIA, Maun and Katima Mulilo. Commencing on 3 July and continuing until the end of October, select flights will follow the HKIA route to Maun to Katima Mulilo and back to HKIA on designated days.
This initiative aims to optimise passenger traffic to Katima Mulilo and promote tourism growth in the Zambezi region. By linking inbound long-haul flights with direct connections to Katima Mulilo, FlyNamibia seeks to unlock the region’s tourism potential and drive economic development.
“We are excited to introduce these strategic changes to our flight operations,” said Andre Compion, managing director of FlyNamibia. “By transitioning our flights to HKIA and introducing enhanced connectivity between Windhoek, Maun and Katima, we are not only improving access for travellers but also catalysing tourism growth in the Zambezi region.”
The direct flight schedule to Katima Mulilo on specific dates aligns with FlyNamibia’s commitment to providing tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of passengers and support regional development initiatives.
Passengers are encouraged to take advantage of these enhanced flight options to experience the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Zambezi region.
