Eid-ul-Fitr to be celebrated in Saudi Arabia on Monday

RIYADH: The moon of Shawwal has not been seen in Saudi Arabia, after which Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated there on Monday.

Meetings were held in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to sight the Shawwal moon, but no evidence of moon sighting was received.

A royal proclamation has also been issued regarding the Shawwal moon, stating that according to the decision of the Supreme Court, tomorrow, Sunday, May 1, will be the 30th day of Ramazan.

According to the royal proclamation, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the kingdom on Monday, May 2.

The Saudi Supreme Court had appealed to the citizens to try to see the moon of Shawwal on their own today, the evening of the 29th of Ramazan.

Shawwal moon has not been seen in the UAE and Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Monday, May 2.

Remember that 29th Ramazan in Pakistan is on Sunday and the meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held on the same day.

Earlier in Pakistan, astronomers have predicted that the moon of Shawwal will appear on May 2, in view of which Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Tuesday, May 3.

According to media reports, astronomers say that the Shawwal moon is likely to be born on April 30 and May 1 at 1:28 pm.

On the other hand, the duration of watching sunset and moon in different parts of the country will be 40 minutes and maximum 89 minutes.

Therefore, if the information is clear, then the moon of Shawwal will be visible in different parts of the country on Monday evening.
