Set to take place at the DeWitt Opera House Theatre in vibrant downtown DeWitt, the event promises an afternoon filled with captivating stories and incredible photos that will transport you straight to Africa.

In March 2024, Lisa, along with five other intrepid travelers from Eastern Iowa, embarked on a remarkable journey with Odysseys Unlimited, a reputable small group travel company. Their expedition spanned four gorgeous countries: South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. This was not just any trip—it was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that exceeded all expectations!

One of the highlights of Lisa’s travels was a visit to Zimbabwe’s famous Victoria Falls, renowned as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The majestic falls offer an unparalleled sight, where the glorious cascade of water creates an awe-inspiring display that draws visitors from around the globe. But that’s just the beginning! The trio of countries—Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa—unveils some of the most pristine wilderness on the planet, boasting vast stretches of untouched landscapes alive with extraordinary wildlife.

Throughout their journey, Lisa’s group experienced the thrill of countless safaris, during which they encountered a remarkable diversity of animals. From playful elephants to charming zebras, powerful lions to elusive leopards, their adventures showcased the stunning biodiversity that Africa is so well known for. And let’s not forget about the birds—they are nothing short of glorious, adding splashes of vibrant color and song to the African skies.

The Travelogue presentation will be held at 3 p.m. and is open to all. Tickets are offered with a suggested donation of just , contributing to vital local community projects such as the Referral Center, DeWitt Community Library, KidSight, Diabetes Awareness initiatives, and Camp Courageous.
