The Melcom Care Foundation has made a significant impact in Accra by donating 1,000 meals to children’s homes and a rehabilitation center.
This week-long philanthropic outreach concluded with a donation of 200 meals per day, benefiting several facilities including the Accra Rehabilitation Centre. The initiative is part of Melcom’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, aimed at supporting vulnerable groups in society.

The Melcom Care Foundation’s outreach included visits to various children’s homes, starting at the Osu Children’s Home and culminating at the Accra Rehabilitation Centre. Each facility received 200 packs of food, totaling 1,000 meals distributed throughout the week.
Joseph Kpormegbey, the Public Relations Officer, emphasized the importance of giving back to society, a principle instilled by the late Chairman of the Melcom Group. He noted the challenges faced by children’s homes and rehabilitation centers and expressed hope that the donation would aid in the care of the inmates.
