Lagos is gearing up to host Africa’s largest gathering of creative industries in November 2026.
The Creative Africa Nexus Weekend (CANEX WKND 2026) will take place from 5 to 8 November 2026, uniting creatives, investors, and policymakers. The event aims to enhance access to finance and commercial opportunities for Africa’s creative sectors.
CANEX WKND 2026: A Platform for Creativity
Hosted by Afreximbank in partnership with Nigeria’s government and the African Union, CANEX WKND 2026 will be held at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Lagos. The event will attract participants from Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora, focusing on various creative fields including film, music, and fashion.
The theme, “One People, United in Culture, Creating for the World: From FESTAC ’77 to CANEX’27,” highlights the event’s commitment to fostering collaboration and investment in Africa’s creative economy.
