Sheikh Mohammed praises record 20 million Egyptian students in reading challenge

Over 20 million Egyptian students have made history in the Arab Reading Challenge.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the remarkable participation of 20,545,886 students from Egypt in the 10th Arab Reading Challenge. This impressive figure is part of a total of 40.2 million students participating from across the Arab world.

Egypt’s Record Participation in Reading Challenge

The Arab Reading Challenge has seen unprecedented engagement this year, with Egypt contributing significantly to the overall numbers. Approximately half of the total participants are from Egyptian schools, including those under the Ministry of Education and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

Among the participants, 41,168 are People of Determination, showcasing the inclusive nature of this educational initiative. The students come from 40,468 schools and are guided by 50,315 teachers, highlighting the extensive support for literacy and education in the country.
