Namibia Revenue Agency Extends Tax Return Deadline to 31 August

The Namibia Revenue Agency has granted taxpayers additional time to file their tax returns amid ongoing technical challenges.

The deadline for filing tax returns has been extended to 31 August. This decision follows delays in resolving issues with the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), which affected its functionality.

NamRA Extends Tax Filing Deadline to August

The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) announced the extension of the tax return filing deadline from 30 June to 31 August. This change aims to accommodate taxpayers facing difficulties due to technical issues with ITAS. NamRA has made significant progress in restoring key functionalities of the system, although some functions are still impacted.

Taxpayers are encouraged to upload PAYE certificates from their fund administrators when claiming deductions for pension fund contributions, annuity contributions, or study policy contributions. This step is crucial for ensuring accurate tax filings.
