The promotion playoffs for Liga 3 have kicked off with intense matches across Romania.
On Saturday, June 20, the first leg of the Liga 3 promotion playoffs took place, featuring 42 county champions divided into 21 matchups. However, only 18 matches were played, as three teams advanced without playing due to their opponents failing to meet the Romanian Football Federation’s conditions.

The standout performance came from Recolta Gura Șuții, who dominated ACS Lupii Profa with a stunning 7-2 victory. This win positions them close to promotion. In another thrilling encounter, ACS Barcău triumphed over AFCS Talna Orașu Nou with a score of 4-3, showcasing the competitive spirit of the playoffs.
Pescărușul Sarichioi also made significant strides towards promotion, defeating Petrolul Berca 5-0 in an away match. These results highlight the high stakes and fierce competition among the teams vying for a spot in Liga 3.

The playoffs featured various matches across different regions. In the North-East Region, CS Bradul Putna defeated Unirea Curteşti 4-0, while CSM Paşcani edged out Cimentul Bicaz 3-2. Notably, CSM Huşana Huşi advanced without playing due to ACS Negri’s withdrawal.
In the North-West Region, Minerul Rodna faced a tough loss against ACS Transilvania Sport Academy, losing 0-3.
