Namibia has appointed its first female Acting Inspector General of Police.
President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has named Major General Anne-Marie Nainda to the position, effective immediately. She will serve for one year, succeeding Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, who was suspended.
