Ivato Airport in Madagascar is undergoing major renovations to enhance passenger experience.

Ravinala Airports management company announced significant upgrades at Antananarivo’s Ivato Airport. The domestic terminal’s passenger capacity has increased from 120 to 261 passengers per hour, and the waiting area has doubled in size to 760 sqm with 236 seats.

Major Upgrades at Ivato Airport

The renovations at Ivato Airport include an expanded terminal and new amenities designed to improve the overall travel experience. The number of boarding gates has increased from two to four, allowing for more efficient boarding processes.

Additionally, the airport now features two baggage-screening areas, up from just one. This enhancement aims to streamline security checks for passengers.

New Amenities for Travelers

Passengers will benefit from a range of new amenities at the airport. These include both indoor and outdoor shops, providing shopping options for travelers. A children’s play area has been introduced, catering to families traveling with young kids.

Rest areas, a VIP lounge, and a private flight area have also been added, enhancing comfort for all passengers. Furthermore, a cultural exhibition space will showcase local culture, enriching the travel experience.
