A significant restoration project has been completed at the President Ho Chi Minh Historical Site in Savannakhet, Laos.
The inauguration ceremony took place on April 2, marking the successful completion of a project funded by Ho Chi Minh City. The initiative, with a budget of 66 billion VND (2.5 million USD), aims to strengthen the ties between Vietnam and Laos.

The restoration of the President Ho Chi Minh Historical Site holds deep political, cultural, and social significance. It symbolizes the enduring solidarity between Ho Chi Minh City and Savannakhet province. Nguyen Loc Ha, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, highlighted the project as a commemorative gift for the Vietnam–Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year 2022.
Thongsay Xayavongkhamdi, Vice Chairman of the Savannakhet provincial administration, emphasized the project’s importance in reinforcing the friendship and cooperation between the two regions. The historical site, inaugurated in 2013, serves as a vital educational resource for revolutionary traditions.
