The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is gearing up for crucial internal elections with new fee structures for aspirants.

The party has announced the costs associated with obtaining forms for its upcoming ward, local government, and state congresses, as well as its national convention. The Expression of Interest form is priced at ₦2,000, while nomination fees vary significantly based on the position contested.

ADC Announces Fees for Upcoming Elections

The ADC has detailed the financial requirements for aspirants at various levels. At the ward level, a chairman must pay ₦10,000, while a secretary pays ₦5,000, and other positions cost ₦3,000 each. For local government positions, the chairman’s fee is ₦40,000, the secretary’s is ₦30,000, and other offices are set at ₦10,000 each.

At the state level, the stakes are higher. Aspirants for chairman are required to pay ₦500,000, while those contesting for secretary must pay ₦300,000. Other positions attract a fee of ₦50,000 each. For the national convention, delegates will pay a nomination fee of ₦10,000.

Key Guidelines for Aspirants

Aspirants must be nominated by party members, with fees for nominators set at ₦500 each. The number of nominators varies by position, ranging from five at the ward level to 50 for top state positions. This ensures a broad representation from different areas.

All payments must be made via bank transfer, and proof of payment is mandatory for form collection. The deadline for submitting completed forms is March 27, 2026, with no exceptions for late submissions.
