Global Media Alliance empowers young girls in Accra through education and health initiatives.

In celebration of International Women’s Month, Global Media Alliance engaged over 100 girls at Accra STEM Academy. The event focused on menstrual health, hygiene, and building confidence among the participants.

Empowering Girls Through Menstrual Health Education

The session featured Emma Wenani, Chief Director of Global Media Alliance, who emphasized the importance of education and mentorship for young girls. She encouraged the students to embrace their identities and focus on their studies.

Mrs. Eunice Tornyi led discussions on the normalcy of menstruation and self-care during periods. She provided practical advice on wearing and disposing of sanitary pads, addressing a vital aspect of health education.

The girls actively participated in a question-and-answer segment, demonstrating their eagerness to learn more about menstrual health and personal hygiene.

Global Media Alliance’s Commitment to Social Responsibility

This initiative is part of Global Media Alliance’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. The organization partnered with INVECO Group to donate sanitary pads to the girls, aiming to enhance their comfort in managing menstrual health.

Mr. Prince Agortey, Headmaster of Accra STEM Academy, expressed gratitude for the initiative, highlighting its significance for the girls’ confidence and personal development.
