The Capricorn Foundation is empowering vocational graduates in Namibia to become entrepreneurs.
A new initiative, the Vocational Graduate Entrepreneurship Programme, has been launched in Swakopmund. This program will select 20 graduates from the Erongo Region who have completed TVET qualifications at levels 3 or 4 within the past one to five years.
Capricorn Foundation Launches Entrepreneurial Initiative
The Capricorn Foundation has partnered with Unmatched Potential – Business Box Namibia to support vocational graduates in starting their own businesses. The initiative aims to provide essential training and mentorship to help graduates transition from technical skills to entrepreneurship.
Participants will undergo a three-month training period that includes practical business experience and guidance. This program is designed to equip young Namibians with the tools they need to create their own opportunities.

Veripura Muukua, head of the Capricorn Foundation, emphasized the importance of vocational graduates in Namibia’s development. The Be Your Own Boss Programme aims to foster a thriving entrepreneurial culture in the country.
Etienne Raymond, founder and CEO of Unmatched Potential, highlighted the unique talents of Namibians and the potential for creating a world-class nation. The program encourages a shift in mindset from needing to creating, which can lead to sustainable livelihoods.
