Togo is advancing its data collection efforts to enhance public decision-making.
The Ministère de l’Economie Numérique et de la Transformation Digitale has launched the field data collection phase of the Project Census of Socio-Economic Infrastructure (PRISE II). This initiative began on February 18, 2026, and aims to update Togo’s National Geoportal by engaging various stakeholders in accurate data collection.

The official ceremony for the PRISE II initiative took place at the Togo Digital Agency in the Autonomous District of Grand Lomé. It gathered representatives from eight ministries and municipal agents from the region. This event marked the beginning of a comprehensive campaign to enhance the country’s socio-economic data.
Following the launch, the campaign continued on February 20 in Tsevié, targeting the Maritime region. The initiative is designed to inform decentralized service actors about their roles in data collection, emphasizing the importance of accurate information for effective governance.
