Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has secured his position as the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate for the 2028 elections.
In the party’s primary held on Saturday, Bawumia garnered 110,643 votes, representing 56.5 percent of the valid votes cast. This result exceeds the 50 percent threshold, confirming his nomination without the need for a run-off.
