Lagos State has officially enacted a ₦4.4 trillion budget for 2026, aiming to enhance residents’ welfare.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu signed the budget into law, which totals ₦4,444,509,776,438. This significant financial plan, dubbed the “Budget of Shared Prosperity,” was passed by the Lagos State House of Assembly earlier in January.

The signing ceremony took place at Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, and was attended by key officials, including Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and members of the State Executive Council.
