The Moroccan government is advancing its aviation sector by establishing a dedicated academy for aviation professions.

During a recent government council meeting in Rabat, the cabinet approved decree n°2.25.1109, which will create the Moroccan Academy of Aviation Professions. This initiative aims to enhance training and skills in civil aviation-related fields.

New Academy to Boost Aviation Skills in Morocco

The Moroccan Academy of Aviation Professions will focus on developing qualified training programs for the aviation industry. This includes training for maintenance companies and continuous professional development for current employees. The initiative is part of Morocco’s National Pact for Industrial Emergence, which identifies aeronautics as a key growth sector.

The government emphasizes that having highly skilled human resources is crucial for the success of industrial investments, especially in aviation maintenance and airport logistics. By aligning training with market needs, the academy aims to strengthen Morocco’s position in international value chains.

Royal Air Maroc’s Role in Academy Management

The management of the academy will be entrusted to a company established by Royal Air Maroc, leveraging the airline’s operational expertise. This collaboration is expected to enhance the quality of training offered and ensure it meets industry standards.

The academy will also provide pre-employment training that leads to professional diplomas, further supporting job creation in the aviation sector.

Next Steps for the Academy’s Implementation

  • Launch of training programs for aviation maintenance and services.
  • Collaboration with industry stakeholders to align curriculum with market demands.
  • Establishment of partnerships to enhance training quality and relevance.

This new academy represents a significant step towards strengthening Morocco’s aviation sector and enhancing its global competitiveness.
