The All Progressives Congress (APC) is extending its electronic membership registration to encourage broader participation.
The registration exercise will now run until February 8, 2026, following requests from party stakeholders. This extension aims to allow more supporters and existing members to register, update, and validate their membership records on the electronic platform.
APC Adjusts Congress and Convention Schedule
In conjunction with the registration extension, the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) has approved changes to the party’s congress and convention schedule. Ward Congresses are now set to occur nationwide on February 18, 2026. This adjustment is part of the party’s preparations for upcoming internal activities.
The APC National Convention, a significant event for decision-making within the party, is rescheduled for March 27 and 28, 2026. This gathering will be crucial for shaping the party’s future direction.
NWC Excludes Certain States from Congresses
The NWC has clarified that Osun State, Ekiti State, and the Federal Capital Territory will not participate in the scheduled congresses due to impending elections in those regions. Additionally, Rivers State is excluded because its current state executive committee remains in office under a subsisting tenure.
Next Steps for APC Activities
- Ward Congresses on February 18, 2026
- APC National Convention on March 27 and 28, 2026
- Constitution of the National Convention Planning Committee
