Miss Namibia 2025 Launches Inspiring Dream Wall for Students in Windhoek
In an exciting and uplifting initiative, Miss Namibia 2025, Johanna Swartbooi, inaugurated the first-ever IIHAPO wall at Augustineum Secondary School in Windhoek. This pioneering project is designed to inspire and motivate students to pursue their dreams and aspirations, reminding them that no dream is too big or insignificant.
During the launch, Swartbooi shared her personal journey and the power of writing down one’s dreams. She encouraged students to keep a journal of their ambitions, pointing out that every great achievement starts with a simple idea. “One thing that I’m sure of is that writing down is very powerful,” she noted. “Every single dream that I have written down, it doesn’t matter how big. I have a scrapbook with 70 dreams that I’ve recorded so far. When an idea pops up, I write it down, whatever it is. I want to be Miss Namibia, and I’ve made it a priority to keep track of my ambitions.”
Rudolf Mutenga, the principal of Augustineum Secondary School, expressed his commitment to maintaining the IIHAPO wall for years to come. His vision is for the wall to serve as a source of inspiration for future generations of students. “We want these students to finish their studies and return to show others where it all started. In 2025, they can look back and say, ‘I dreamt of being a lawyer, and here is my proof—I made it happen,'” he said.
Adding her voice to the inspiring occasion, Miss World Namibia 2025, Selma Kamanya, emphasized the importance of dreaming big. She reminded students that every success story, from Nelson Mandela’s fight for freedom to the achievements of local athletes and business leaders, begins with a dream. “A dream provides you direction; a dream provides you purpose. It shows you that your background does not dictate your future,” Kamanya stated.
Swartbooi and Kamanya’s words resonate deeply in a world where aspirations often face challenges. The IIHAPO wall symbolizes hope and the belief that every young person can chart their own course to success.
As this initiative spreads a message of ambition and inspiration across Namibia, it stands as a testament to the nation’s commitment to empowering its youth. By fostering a culture of dreaming big, the Augustineum Secondary School is not just preparing students for the future, but encouraging them to create it.
