Koryx Copper Inc. on Track to Release Promising Mineral Resource Estimate for Haib Copper Project in Namibia
In a move that signals robust growth in the mining sector, Koryx Copper Inc. is gearing up to unveil an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its ambitious Haib Copper Project, located in southern Namibia. The anticipated release date is set before the end of 2025, backed by positive developments from ongoing Phase 2 and 3 drilling campaigns that have generated exciting results.
Recently, Koryx announced outstanding assay results from 17 fresh drill holes, which collectively spanned an impressive 5,556 meters. What stands out in these findings is the consistent copper mineralization observed across all four target zones. Notably, some intercepts surpassed the average grades indicated in the current resource model; drill hole HM96 revealed a substantial 116 meters at 0.36% copper, while HM76 yielded 50 meters at 0.33% copper. These promising figures not only affirm the project’s potential but also raise expectations for the forthcoming MRE.
Heye Daun, President and CEO of Koryx, highlighted the significance of these developments. “The new model offers our geologists enhanced capabilities to refine and accurately estimate our mineral resources,” he noted. “We’re currently reviewing the updated models with the goal of publishing the MRE by the end of 2025, aiming to capitalise on the favorable results we’ve been receiving since our last estimate in August 2024.”
The dedication to detail is evident in Koryx’s comprehensive approach. The company has completed relogging and geological reinterpretation of all drill cores, incorporating vital new data on copper, molybdenum, and gold mineralization. Our experts are confident that this meticulous groundwork will set a strong foundation for the revised MRE, showcasing the Haib Copper Project’s expanding possibilities.
To further bolster exploration capabilities, Koryx has recently expanded its drilling fleet by adding four new portable drill rigs, bringing the total to eight for resource drilling and two for geotechnical assessments. This increase lays the groundwork for more extensive exploration efforts moving forward.
Nestled in Namibia’s beautiful //Karas Region, the Haib Copper Project is not just a copper-molybdenum-gold deposit; it represents a vital slice of the country’s mining landscape. The initiative aims to produce copper concentrate through tried-and-true methods such as conventional milling and flotation, alongside potential additional recovery through heap leaching.
As Koryx Copper Inc. prepares to chart the next steps for the Haib Copper Project, the outlook remains incredibly optimistic. This reflects not only the dedication of Koryx’s team but also Namibia’s burgeoning potential as a key player in the global mining industry.
