Mopamuro Leaders Unite: Exciting Strategies for Boosting Voter Registration!

Kogi State Government Mobilizes Voter Registration Drive in Mopamuro

In an exciting move to enhance civic engagement and bolster democratic participation, government appointees from Mopamuro Local Government Area in Kogi State recently convened to strategize for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) initiative. This gathering, held at the residence of the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, was driven by the directives of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, highlighting the government’s commitment to ensuring every voice in Mopamuro is heard during the upcoming elections.

Participants at the meeting included a strong presence of Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and various local representatives, all emphasizing the importance of grassroots mobilization. Hon. Moses David Sunday, the Special Adviser on Cultural Integration for Kogi West, took the opportunity to celebrate the unwavering dedication of local officials, urging them to champion efforts to secure a strong turnout for the voter registration exercise.

“Our goal is to ensure that every eligible resident in Mopamuro registers to vote,” said Hon. Sunday. He underscored that massive grassroots engagement is crucial for empowering citizens and reinforcing the democratic process.

With a focus on achieving a politically significant voter base, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo rallied all government officials to remain within their wards and actively encourage eligible voters to register. “We must strive to record and maintain a vibrant political relevance through our voting strength,” he noted passionately.

As a part of these efforts, a dedicated committee has been established to spearhead the mobilization initiative. Hon. Moses David Sunday has been appointed as the Chairman, supported by Hon. Obasun Samuel as Secretary. The committee is made up of several influential members who are equally motivated to galvanize the community towards greater electoral participation.

This deliberate and organized approach reflects Mopamuro’s determination to enhance civic engagement and ensure that residents fully embrace their democratic rights. The collaboration of various stakeholders, including political appointees and community leaders, signifies a strong collective effort towards an active and informed electorate.

As we look forward to the upcoming voter registration drive, it’s clear that the future of democratic participation in Mopamuro is being solidified one step at a time, making a remarkable contribution to the political landscape of Kogi State.
