Sophie Swemmer has emerged as a national star, clinching an impressive second place in the competition. Not only is she the top-performing female student in South Africa, but her outstanding achievement also makes her the leading Grade 12 student in the Limpopo region. Sophie’s dedication and intellect propelled her into the top 1% of all participants, an accomplishment that earned her a prestigious Platinum Award.
Meanwhile, her classmate Kelly Taylor didn’t lag far behind. Occupying the fourth spot nationally, Kelly also received a Platinum Award, marking her as one of the best in the country. Together, their remarkable achievements have catapulted Southern Cross Schools into the spotlight, earning the title of Top Sango School in South Africa for 2025.
