South Africa to Host Key G20 Development Meetings at Kruger National Park

Excitement is building as South Africa gears up to host the Fourth G20 Development Working Group (DWG) Meeting and the G20 Ministerial Meeting on Development from July 20 to July 25, 2025, at the picturesque Skukuza Lodge in the iconic Kruger National Park. Led by the Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Hon. Maropene Ramokgopa, these influential gatherings will serve as a platform for fostering global development cooperation and securing funding for sustainable initiatives.

Under the theme of “Solidarity, Sustainability, and Equality,” this year’s discussions will tackle pressing issues that resonate with people worldwide. Key points on the agenda include:

1. High-Level Principles on Global Public Goods and Global Public Investment
2. Mobilizing Finance for Development and Means of Implementation
3. Building Resilience through Universal Social Protection Floors

These topics highlight a shared commitment among G20 member states and invited countries to create pathways for sustainable development that uplift communities everywhere.

Members of the media are warmly invited to witness this pivotal event. The opening session of the Fourth Development Working Group will take place on July 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM, followed by the ministerial session on July 25, 2025, also starting at 9:00 AM.
