CEVA Logistics Expands Partnership with Safran for Aerospace Parts Transport Across France, Tunisia, and Morocco

In a major development at the 55th International Paris Air Show, CEVA Logistics, a global powerhouse in third-party logistics, has solidified its partnership with Safran, the world’s second-largest aerospace equipment manufacturer. This exciting renewal, announced just last week, extends their collaboration for three additional years, specifically enhancing transportation services between Morocco and France, as well as Tunisia and France.

The longstanding relationship between CEVA and Safran is a testament to successful logistical innovation in the aerospace sector. For years, CEVA has been at the helm of transport and logistics for Safran, and with this renewed three-year contract, their commitment goes even deeper. The agreement allows CEVA to streamline the collection of aerospace components from Safran’s facilities in Morocco and Tunisia, managing daily transport operations to France seamlessly. Additionally, the logistics juggernaut will handle incoming shipments from France to bolster Safran’s operations in these two North African nations.

Utilizing an efficient multimodal transport solution, CEVA blends road freight with RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) maritime transportation. Once these materials arrive in France, they transit through CEVA’s strategically located cross-dock facilities in Toulouse and Vitrolles, ensuring timely delivery to various destinations across the country. This meticulous logistical flow is mirrored for shipments heading back to France, showcasing a robust transport framework that supports both inbound and outbound logistics.

Each year, CEVA undertakes the monumental task of managing over 1,500 shipments, which translates to the delivery of more than 100,000 parcels of aerospace parts and subassemblies. Operating under strict timelines, CEVA ensures that transshipment platforms receive goods just days after they are picked up, speaking volumes about their efficiency and reliability.

Cyrille Roux, Global Head of Aerospace & Defense at CEVA Logistics, articulated the importance of this partnership, stating, “We have enjoyed a close partnership with Safran for over 20 years and are honored by the trust they continue to place in us. With a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction, we are committed to delivering tailor-made solutions to meet the challenges faced by this global aerospace leader.”

As Africa continues to emerge as a key player in global logistics and aerospace, this partnership exemplifies the potential for growth and collaboration in the region. Safran’s presence in Morocco and Tunisia is not only a boon for local economies but also highlights the importance of Africa in the global supply chain.

Stay tuned as we follow more exciting developments in the aerospace sector and beyond!
