Celebrating Fathers in Madagascar: A Music Extravaganza at Palais des Sports
On June 15, the Palais des Sports Mahamasina in Madagascar is set to host a vibrant concert that’s poised to be a highlight of the year. Organized by Work It Company, in collaboration with the Manakako initiative, this event is not only a celebration of Father’s Day but also a platform for young performers to showcase their talents.
Headlining the show will be the dynamic Njaktiana, alongside popular artists Ljo and Mandresy Jackson. “We’re transforming what was initially a traditional year-end show for the students of SMK Obus School into a spectacular concert featuring prominent artists, to craft an unforgettable experience” shared Njiva Rakotomahafally, also known as Kenji, the visionary founder of the SMK Obus group.
The concert will be filled with diverse performances from a lineup of exciting guests, including NY Voninavoko, Do Rajohnson, Ravaka Pazzapa, and Momina, with special contributions from Rebecca and Loïc. One of the evening’s standout features will be a large zumba session led by Tsiry Ramarolahy, dedicated to mothers and the audience—a true celebration of community and togetherness.
But this event is about much more than just entertainment. Kenji highlights that the concert serves as a significant platform for expression among students. Each musical act will be accompanied by original choreography crafted by the talented dancers of SMK Obus School, offering a unique chance for these young artists to shine on stage.
“This show transcends typical performances; it acts as a catalyst for personal and social development through urban art,” Kenji emphasized. He also pointed out the historical significance of this being the first time an urban dance school will perform at the Mahamasina Sports Palace. “We’re writing a new page in the history of dance in Madagascar,” he concluded, clearly filled with emotion.
The event is expected to attract a large crowd, bringing together families and music lovers of all ages. By fostering an environment that nurtures talent and celebrates communal spirit, this concert is certain to leave a lasting impression on everyone involved.
Let’s support our local talents and celebrate the joy of music together!
