Adventure Awaits: Enhancing Our Suzuki Jimny with Practical Accessories
As outdoor enthusiasts and avid adventurers, our Suzuki Jimny has been a trusty companion over the past few months. With its compact design and off-road capability, it’s the perfect vehicle for exploring the stunning landscapes of Southern Africa. To make our experience even better, we have taken steps to enhance its practicality with several Suzuki-approved accessories.
A Quick Recap of Our Additions
We’ve made some exciting upgrades to our Jimny, sourced from local South African companies. Here’s what we’ve added to ramp up our adventure game:
– Protection Parts: We installed various protection components straight from the Suzuki OEM parts catalog, ensuring our vehicle is well-equipped for rugged terrains.
– Custom Branding: With some expert help from Empire Graphic Company, we’ve applied a unique ZA Lifestyle adventure-themed branding that gives our Jimny a personal touch.
– All-Terrain Tires: The vehicle now sports a set of ‘all-terrain’ Grabber AT3s from General Tire, perfect for tackling diverse road conditions.
– Interior Protection: We fitted locally made seat covers and interior protection from Takla Products, prioritizing both style and functionality.
– Rooftop Utility: A robust roof rack and ladder from Front Runner added a rugged appeal and plenty of practical storage space.
Unleashing the Potential of Our Roof Rack
One of the standout features of our modifications is the roof rack from Front Runner. This addition not only enhances the Jimny’s rugged aesthetics but offers practical solutions for transport. With several tie-down ring mounting points, it allows us to securely strap larger items like ladders, making the Jimny versatile enough for all our adventure gear.
Front Runner is also known for its extensive range of adventure accessories. As part of our ongoing Jimny blog, we’re diving deeper into some of their offerings.
First Up: Front Runner Pro Bike Carrier
We chose the Front Runner Pro Bike Carrier for secure bicycle transport. The durable carrier, crafted from weather-resistant stainless steel, doesn’t require front wheel removal, making loading and unloading seamless. It accommodates various bike types—from road to mountain bikes—and fits tires with widths as broad as 132mm. This flexibility is invaluable when we are transporting bikes for different clients.
Installing the carriers was a breeze, taking about 30 minutes. Their practical design maximizes the versatility of our roof rack while ensuring our bikes are securely fastened for transport.
Next on the List: Extra Cargo with Wolf Pack Pro Boxes
To supplement our storage needs, we’ve mounted a set of Wolf Pack Pro Cargo Boxes between the bike carriers. These robust boxes are not only essential for safely storing our gear but also double as useful seating when we’re loading and unloading our bikes—now that’s what we call efficient design!
Ready for Anything: MaxTrax Recovery Devices
Finally, we installed a set of vibrant orange MaxTrax Recovery Devices and a compatible mounting kit. These handy tools are perfect for those unforeseen situations when our adventures lead us off the beaten path. We believe in being prepared, and they add a touch of flair to our setup.
As the December holidays draw near, we’re excited to put our upgraded Jimny to the test. Whether cycling on scenic trails or camping under the stars, it promises to be a remarkable season filled with exploration and discovery.
