“Celebrating CDD’s Triumph: A Prestigious NZ Award for Environmental Excellence!”

In an exciting development for environmental sustainability, Confidential Document Destruction (CDD) has just been announced as a New Zealand winner in the prestigious 2024 Xero Beautiful Business Fund for the ‘Innovating for Environmental Sustainability’ category. This accolade not only highlights CDD’s commitment to sustainability but also provides a significant boost to their mission of achieving a 100% waste diversion from landfills.

The Xero Beautiful Business Fund aims to empower small businesses and non-profit organizations by providing financial support for their growth ambitions. This year, the fund disbursed over NZ0,000 to small business customers across several countries, including New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and more. The application process required entrants to submit a compelling 90-second video explaining their plans for using the funding to enhance their business strategies. Clearly, CDD impressed the judges!

Each country winner, including CDD, received NZ,000 (or the local currency equivalent), while four global winners walked away with NZ,000. This generous support will enable CDD to invest in cutting-edge equipment that enhances their ability to process soft plastics and other recyclables. As co-owner Te-Aumihi Ogden enthusiastically stated, “Winning the Xero Beautiful Business Fund is a privilege for Confidential Document Destruction.”

With an increasing demand for sustainable waste solutions, CDD is well-positioned to take the lead in promoting a circular economy in the Bay of Plenty region and beyond. This funding will not only help them improve their processes but also further reduce landfill waste, showcasing the importance of innovative practices in the waste management industry.

This achievement highlights how forward-thinking businesses are contributing positively to their communities and the environment. It sends a clear message: sustainable practices can be both profitable and beneficial to the planet. With organizations like CDD at the forefront, New Zealand’s journey towards a greener future looks promising.
