Hot Weather Ahead for Egypt: What to Expect This Thursday

Posted on Thu, 10 Oct 2024 | 09:30 AM by Africazine

As we dive into the heart of October, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has released its weather forecast for the day, and it seems that sunny skies and warm temperatures will dominate the landscape of Egypt.

Starting with the daytime, residents can expect a warm atmosphere that is characteristic of this time of year. Temperatures will soar, with Cairo hitting around 32°C. If you’re planning a lovely day out, don’t forget to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen!

In the cooler hours of the early morning, citizens in various regions will experience a comparatively moderate climate, perfect for a refreshing walk or jog. However, there will be some areas in North Upper Egypt, particularly along agricultural and highway roads, where early morning mist may create visibility challenges. This fog is also expected to blanket bustling urban centers like Cairo, as well as coastal regions, Central Sinai, and along the canal cities.

Meanwhile, a light yet noticeable breeze will keep things interesting in South Sinai, bringing occasional gusts that can be refreshing amid the warm temperatures.

For those considering a trip to Egypt’s picturesque beaches, the Mediterranean Sea will offer low to moderate waves, between 1 and 1.5 meters, creating ideal conditions for family outings and water sports. The Red Sea will similarly feature moderate waves measuring between 1.5 and 2.25 meters. This makes it a fantastic day for beachgoers seeking some sun and surf!

As the sun sets, a change in temperatures will welcome a pleasantly cool night. Here’s a quick look at the expected high temperatures across different cities: 30°C in Alexandria, a delightful 28°C in Marsa Matruh for a scenic beach day, 36°C in Sohag, 37°C in Qena, and a toasty 38°C in Aswan, where vibrant local culture and stunning scenery await.
