As the matric Class of 2024 in South Africa gears up for their National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams, President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended his heartfelt wishes for a successful examination period, which kicks off on Monday, 21 October. This year’s exams mark a significant milestone, with nearly one million candidates, including 727,121 full-time students and 155,215 part-time students, all poised to showcase their academic readiness.
In a heartfelt message, President Ramaphosa acknowledged the unwavering support from parents, teachers, and communities that has fostered an environment of learning and growth for these young minds. The President emphasized the power of self-belief and determination, encouraging students to approach the upcoming exams with confidence and resilience.
The exams will be conducted across 474 examination venues, meticulously monitored by a dedicated team of 1,809 invigilators. This organized effort ensures the integrity of the exam process, allowing students to focus on doing their best. After the students complete their exams, a meticulous marking process will take place from 2 to 12 December 2024, paving the way for the eagerly awaited results, which are set to be released on 15 January 2025. For those eagerly anticipating their scores, individual results will be available at schools and online the following day.
