Referring to the historical significance of this year’s celebration, Ban-T emphasized that the event honors the deep-rooted connections between Botswana and Mafikeng, where the historical capital of pre-independent Botswana was located. “We want to celebrate our history while looking forward to a united future filled with music,” he shared.

This exciting edition also serves as a build-up to Mafikeng’s renowned hip-hop event, Maftown Heights, aptly tagged #RoadtoMaftownHeights, pulling together local and regional talent to showcase their craft.
