Lookman is attending his maiden tournament with Nigeria since switching allegiance from England.
“Just like the rest of my teammates, we are already prepared, it has been a good few days training here in Abu Dhabi preparing for AFCON and obviously with the mindset that we want together and fight for each other, and looking to do big things in Ivory Coast,” the Winger said.
Lookman scored four times as the Super Eagles beat a local UAE side, Al Gharbia 12-0, in a warm up game, on Sunday.
“Just like everyone, I do my best for the team and bring my A-game to this tournament for Nigeria and the fans. We’ll see as a team where that takes us.”
The Super Eagles crashed out in the round of 16, despite winning all their Group games, but Lookman is confident, the team can go all the way in Cote D’Ivoire.
“As a squad and and as a team, we have got a strong mindset and we are together, you know like the slogan let’s do it again, we are fighting to do it again.
”I think as a team, like I said, we are together, we are behind each other. As individuals, we believe in ourselves and as a team, we believe in ourselves, that is the mindset,” He concluded.
