The National Television Authority (NTA) says it has secured rights to broadcast the upcoming 2024 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), including all 52 matches.
Announcing this on X, NTA noted that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Afro sports for transmission of 52 matches of African cup of nations in Cote d’ivoire.
It would be recalled that MultiChoice announced its inability to broadcast the tournament on DSTV and SuperSport, last week.
The 2024 AFCON kicks off with the Group A match between the host nation, Ivory Coast, and Guinea Bissau at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on January 13, 2024.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles, placed in Group A alongside Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau, will open their campaign against Equatorial Guinea at the same venue on Sunday, January 14, at 3pm Nigerian time, as they aim for their fourth AFCON title.
