The Super Eagles will keep fighting on the field, according to captain Ahmed Musa.
In their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group A match, the Eagles defeated hosts Cote d’Ivoire 1-0 on Thursday.
Their prospects of qualifying for the Round of 16 were increased by the victory.
The team led by José Peseiro also dispelled doubters who thought they would lose the competition quickly.
Musa asserted that rather than responding to their detractors, the Super Eagles will keep speaking their minds on the field.
As you can see, we had a conversation on the pitch when we played Ivory Coast. We will continue to have talks on the pitch.
Musa said NFF TV, “We will keep doing that till the final on February 11 so that we go back to Nigeria very happy.”
“We’ll never stop working to bring honor to Nigeria.” We are expressing our gratitude to Nigerians once more for their prayers of support. So, once again, we offer “many thanks.”
The Super Eagles’ final group encounter is scheduled for Monday of next week, when they take on the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.
They will be able to guarantee their spot in the Round of 16 with a draw.
