A Cape Town City starlet could be on his way to Europe should the club receive an enticing offer for services from his suitors.

According to UnplayableZA, Luphumlo Sifumba has attracted interest from both TSC Bačka Topola and Red Bull Salzburg.
Topola are campaigning in the Serbian SuperLiga and they are third on the log while Salzburg are leading the Austrian Bundesliga.

Now, the two clubs are set to go neck-on-neck for the services of the 18-year-old central midfielder who broke into the City first team not so long ago.
City are known for opening opportunities for their players abroad, but it remains to be seen if they will entertain offers for Sifumba at this stage.

Previously, City accepted huge offers for the likes of Ayanda Patosi and Lebogang Manyama while they also sold a few of their players locally.
But at 18, Sifumba could be tempted to go abroad in an attempt to develop his football further but that rests on the club’s management.
And that’s because Sifumba is still contracted to them, meaning he cannot leave unless the interested parties meet their asking price.

SIFUMBA IS STILL RELATIVELY NEW TO THE GAME
Sifumba is still relatively new to professional football having only been promoted to the City senior team towards the end of last season.

He has made an overall of nine appearances under Eric Tinkler at City to date; eight of which were in the DStv Premiership.
The burly midfield anchor is yet to find the back of the net for the Citizens.
