Bafana Bafana are determined to cause an upset on Tuesday evening when they face Morocco in the final round of 16 game at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The Atlas Lions are the top-ranked team in Africa, while they are also ranked 13th in the world.
In the last meeting between their two teams, South Africa did manage to beat Morocco 2-1 in Johannesburg last year.
The Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, said only their very best performance will be good enough tonight.
“They are the number one team in Africa and they had a fantastic World Cup,” said Broos.
“They are full of high class players so it will be very difficult. On the other hand, this is an AFCON full of surprises.
“We beat Morocco in Johannesburg where we played a very good game at our best level.
“We have to achieve our best level again, and if we do that maybe we can create another surprise in this AFCON by eliminating this big team.”
At 19:00, Mali will face Burkina Faso, while South Africa and Morocco will lock-horns at 22:00.
