Turkish unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) are playing a significant role in helping Mali control its land, according to Mali’s Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Abdoulaye Diop.

Diop highlighted the robust defense and security collaboration between the two nations during the Türkiye-Mali Joint Economic Commission (JEC) meeting in Ankara.

Diop emphasized the effectiveness of combat drones in Mali’s achievements, which are currently being acknowledged. Mali aims to leverage partnerships with reliable and strategic allies like Türkiye to develop sectors such as agriculture, textiles and mining.

The focus remains on increasing trade volume, expanding infrastructure services, and fostering sectoral cooperation, particularly in defense industries.
