Renowned Cocktail Bar Salmon Guru Opens New Outpost in Dubai

Diego Cabrera is expanding his empire with a new outpost of his renowned Madrid-based cocktail bar, in Dubai. This is truly a one-of-a-kind venture in the Middle East, where consumers have never before experienced this type of concept.

Cabrera and his team partnered with Elements Hospitality for this project, the latter saying “We are so excited to bring the Salmon Guru brand to life in the Middle East. It’s been so much fun working with Diego Cabrera and his team to make this happen. We are huge fans of Diego’s approach to cocktails. What he has done for the bar scene is really special and we are delighted to help bring Salmon Guru to the UAE audience.”

This new locale was designed personally by Diego and is his first project outside Spain. It combines three vibes: an Asian night market, a comic book area, and a 60’s tropical speakeasy. The goal is to provide the same quality and world-class service, and create the same atmosphere, as in Madrid. The Dubai menu has been specially curated to include signature cocktails only available in the Middle East, but it will also draw on the Madrid menu. Drinks will be served in glasses that look like frogs, lotus flowers, and fish, among other unique shapes.

Cabrera originally opened his bar in Madrid in 2016. In 2021 it ranked 24th on the World’s Best Bars list and also took home the Michter’s Art of Hospitality award.
