Prince William left baffled after being bitten by cheeky royal fan on visit

07.11.2023 – 16:17 /

Prince William was left stunned when a young royal fan took a bite of his finger while on a royal visit in Singapore.

The Prince of Wales met eight-month-old Albane Costa, who took a cheeky chomp down on the future King’s finger which left the royal in stitches.

The 41-year-old took the time to speak to the infant and his mother, while giving Albane a large grin as the baby held his hand and looked up at him with an adorable grin.

The dad-of-three then moved on to speak with others well wishers in the line on his visit to Singapore, the Mirror reports.

After touching down at Changi Airport on Sunday November 5, William was greeted by thousands of royals fans bearing signs and holding Union Jacks.

He has travelled to the south-east Asian island for the Eartshot Prize which is currently in its third year after being founded by William and the Royal Foundation in 2021.

Each year, five winners are awarded for their work in contributing to environmentalism and are given a £1m grant to go towards their projects.

Previous winners include Indigenous Women of the Great Barrier Reef who use ancient knowledge and modern technology to protect the famous reef and are creating a space for a whole new generation of indigenous women rangers, who make up only 20% of rangers in Queensland.

A total of 15 finalists have been announced for this year’s prize and will be waiting in anticipation to find out if they have won the prestigious award.
