PRESIDENT Alassane Ouattara of Cote d’Ivoire has issued a decree on Monday appointing Robert Mambe Beugre (pictured) as the nation’s new Prime Minister and head of government. The announcement was made by Cisse Abdourahmane, the Secretary-General of the presidency, who confirmed that President Ouattara had formally chosen Mambe Beugre for the crucial role.
Mambe Beugre, now bears the responsibility of swiftly proposing a new government to the president. The official statement from the presidency emphasised the urgency of the matter, calling for the formation of the new cabinet ‘as soon as possible.’
This development follows President Ouattara’s recent decree on October 6, which terminated the functions of the former prime minister, Patrick Achi, as well as those of other government members. With the appointment of Robert Mambe Beugre, Cote d’Ivoire is poised for a new chapter in its governance, as the nation anticipates the unveiling of its freshly appointed government.
