Pack Your Bags: What Aussies Need to Know Before Going on a Vacation to Dubai

After a tumultuous past few years of health precautions and border restrictions, many countries have reopened and are welcoming international travellers again.

One of those destinations is Dubai. This is the place where you can find everything you need from luxury hotel accommodation to extreme activities. Another attraction of the emirate is that you can rent a luxury car there at a reasonable price. You can use Lamborghini Urus rental Dubai to drive the world’s first SUV with the soul of a sports car. Car rental managers will provide you with top-notch service. So, you can quickly rent a car to go see the sights of the city, located at almost every turn.

Although the United Arab Emirates is the country with the highest rate of fully vaccinated residents in the world (98%), there are still some restrictions for those entering, including Australians. We’ll walk you through what you need to do before you travel from Australia to Dubai for your holiday.

Marhaba! (Welcome).

From Australia to the United Arab Emirates: Restrictions

There are several options for the development of events for those visiting this country

  • If you have been vaccinated against coronavirus, then upon arrival you will need to present a document confirming that you are not dangerous. This document must have a QR code. In addition, remember that your vaccine must be approved by the World Health Organization.
  • For those who have not completed the full course of vaccination, there are two options. You can submit a test with a negative result, which must be issued no more than two days from the time you got the test. This test also must have a QR code. The second option is that you can bring a medical certificate that will confirm that you have been ill. The certificate is valid for 1 month.

Departure from the airport

If you are going to fly out of the airport in Sydney, then you will have to spend a lot of time at the airport before departure. In general, it is best to arrive 3 hours in advance to have time to check-in. If you traveled before the start of the pandemic, then you know that it was possible to have time to go through all the procedures quickly enough, but now, while the whole world is recovering, it will take a little longer.

While you are waiting for your flight at the airport, you can visit the duty-free shops that are finally open, or have a bite in cafes or restaurants that are also starting to open. In the remaining time, you can plan your trip. If you are traveling with your family, then Dubai will offer you a lot of activities for families with children. In addition, choose locations for shopping, beach holidays, and so on.

Random Checks

In the UAE, you may be subject to random health checks. While this rarely happens, it is very possible and you should be prepared for the chance that it does. If you are selected, you will be asked to take another test and go into self-isolation until you receive a negative result. However, not all people can be subject to such a test. Children under the age of 12 and people with disabilities that can be either moderate or severe are exempt from these checks.

Wearing Masks

Despite the impressively large number of residents who are vaccinated, the wearing of masks is not yet lifted. Of course, if you are going to walk around the city or drive off-road in the desert, then the mandate will not take effect. If you are outdoors, you can breathe! Nevertheless, when entering cafes, restaurants and other closed spaces, you must have one on your person at all times. Restrictions are subject to change, so it’s best to visit the attraction’s website before attending to keep updated on the current rules that apply.

From luxury hotel accommodation to extreme activities, Dubai has it all. You can even rent a Lamborghini to zip around town in! So, if you’re itching to get away from the house you were couped up in while the world was on hold, why not visit the city for everyone? Go on, treat yourself – you deserve it.
