The “From the Children of the Emirates to the Children of the World” initiative launched by the Family Development Foundation, in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent, has achieved its goals, which were announced with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, which reflects the support and care that the campaign received, by opening a wide field for children to donate. With gifts and toys across 17 sites of the Family Development Foundation in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, and donated by children of the Emirates to thousands of children around the world, the total number of gifts reached 8,642 gifts of high quality, taking into account all precautionary and preventive measures for comprehensive sterilization to maintain the safety of everyone.
His Excellency Ali Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Family Development Foundation, praised the efforts of those in charge of the initiative, which came thanks to the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation “Mother of the Nation”, which pays attention to children at the national level. The local and the global are a top priority, because of its firm belief that they are the real wealth of their countries and the pillar of the progress and development of countries and peoples.
His Excellency said: “The initiative succeeded thanks to the concerted efforts and the interaction of the community with it significantly, because it addresses the children who responded to the call in word and deed, thanks to the encouragement of parents to do good and leave a positive imprint in the hearts of their children, and this was clear from the reports monitored by the Development Foundation She was proud of the children who demonstrated their awareness and noble behavior towards their peers, pointing out that the campaign’s transgression of its goals demonstrates the community’s confidence in the foundation’s plans and projects and their full awareness of the initiatives it offers aimed at supporting and advancing the community.
Maryam Muhammad Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Family Development Foundation, said: “The initiative “From the Children of the Emirates to the Children of the World” aims to build a conscious family and a cohesive society, prepare a conscious generation that is proud of its national identity, and enable families to provide happiness and safety for children of all ages.
She added that this initiative is an investment in the children’s energies and spare time in what is beneficial to them, their families, society and their country.
Al Rumaithi stressed that this initiative is a strong message of solidarity and humanity from the children of the UAE to the children of the world to bring joy and happiness in the hearts of thousands of families, leaving a good social impact that enhances lofty values and noble principles.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, said that the success of the initiative confirms the strong response shown by the children of the UAE to the conditions experienced by disadvantaged children around the world, and to convey their voice and their humanitarian message to their peers whose circumstances wanted to be present in fragile and turbulent arenas.
He added: We are pleased that we were part of this qualitative initiative, and one of the strategic partners in implementing it and achieving its noble goals and benevolent purposes, especially as it embodies the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, President of the Authority, in the field of building partnerships with institutions. The state as a whole, and coordinating cooperation with it to enhance the state’s leading role in the international humanitarian arena.
Al-Falahi stressed that the initiative reinforced the approach adopted by the “Mother of the Emirates” to improve the conditions of children around the world, take care of them and support areas of solidarity with them, especially those who live in abnormal conditions due to their exceptional conditions, adding that the initiative is a qualitative leap in services directed to disadvantaged children inside refugee camps. and outside.
