NBCUniversal’s Bravo pay-TV channel has commissioned The Real Housewives of Dubai as the 11th city in the Real Housewives reality series franchise.
While The Real Housewives series format has been sold around the world and adapted into various local versions by local channels like MultiChoice and M-Net’s The Real Housewives of Johannesburg and The Real Housewives of Durban for Mzansi Magic (DStv 161) and its Showmax streaming service – The Real Housewives of Dubai is Bravo’s first original international iteration.
The reality show will be broadcast in 2022 with the desert city of Dubai as the backdrop known for its over-the-top luxury and modern architecture.
“Whether they’re coasting on a private plane, running their own empires or hosting on a private island, these glamourous, successful women are ready to serve up scorching hot drama and unexpected twists,” says NBCUniversal.
On the other hand, Andy Cohen, Executive Producer, added: “Everything’s bigger in Dubai, and I couldn’t be more excited to launch Bravo’s first international Housewives series in a city I’ve been fascinated by for years, with an outstanding group of friends as our guides,” says Andy Cohen, executive producer.
To recall, The Real Housewives of Dubai is produced by Truly Original with Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Lauren Eskelin, Jamie Jakimo, Brandon Panaligan, Glenda Cox and Chelsey Stephens, also serving as executive producers.
