PApril 06 — Sunon Asogli Power (Ghana), which is jointly owned by Shenzhen Energy Group Company and the China African Development Fund, plans a 20 MWp-50 MWp solar PV construction in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in the course of one year.The company also has plans to develop another power plant, the Benkongor Hydropower plant in a period of four years. This will have a capacity of 160 MW.The solar PV plant will mainly augment the power generation shortages in Freetown and other parts of the West African country. It will also complement the power supply for the future construction works of the 160 MW Bengongor Hydro Power plant.Sunon Asogli Power Ghana signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the implementation of the project with the Ministry of Energy of Sierra Leone.
