Somalia’s Upper House Speaker Abdi Hashi Abdullahi has on Saturday received at his office in Mogadishu, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Somalia Mohamed Ahmed Al-Othman.
Ambassador Othman congratulated Speaker Hashi for his re-election in the recent leadership election held in the capital Mogadishu.
The two officers discussed a variety of issues pertinent to both the countries
They also discussed strengthening of cooperation between the two Nations and ways in which the UAE can help alleviate the ongoing drought and pitch in its contribution to the drought response.
UAE government recently donated $9.6 million to support and bolster Humanitarian assistance for the drought stricken people in the Horn of Africa Nation.
