Senegal receives Benin in its new stadium of Senegal – Abdoulaye Wade for its entry into the running in qualifying for the 2023 African Cup of Nations, scheduled in Côte d’Ivoire. At half-time, the Lions also lead by two goals to nil at home thanks to a double from Sadio Mané.

With these two goals scored in ten minutes (12th, 22nd), the Liverpool striker becomes the top scorer in the history of the Senegalese selection with 31 goals, equaling the former Sedan and Strasbourg scorer Henri Camara, whom he reached after 99 caps.
